  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Charge Level Security Overview

You can use the Charge Level Security feature to limit the information seen in the UDT01 and UDT02 screens by users of a particular security role.

Accomplish this by selecting the Apply Charge Level Security check box on the Manage Security Roles screen. If you select this check box, users that are assigned to the particular security role will see only those charges (UDT01/UDT02) that they supervise - that is if the employee has been added to the Supervisors Subtask of the appropriate UDT01/UDT02 record. 

Charge Level Security Sample Scenario

If, for example, you want to limit Project Manager A's access to projects 1000 and 1003, you must make sure that the following are in place:

  • Project Manager A is added as a supervisor for Project 1000 and Project 1003.
  • Project Manager A is assigned to the appropriate security role.
  • Charge level security is applied to the security role assigned to Project Manager A.

    If the Charge Level Security setup is correct, then when Project Manager A opens the UDT02 screen and does a search, only charges 1000 and 1003 are visible. The Save and Delete functions will be disabled.

    If you want to enable Project Manager A to update and/or delete projects 1000/1003, you must make sure that the functional role assigned to Project Manager A has charge modification rights.
